THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
Questions for the Week:
FIRST READING: PROVERBS 8:22-31
Proverbs teaches us that the wisdom of God was present with God throughout creation, playing on earth and finding delight in humans. What brings delight to your life?
SECOND READING: ROMANS 5:1-5
Paul encouraged believers that in Jesus we have peace with God and through the Holy Spirit we have the love of God in our hearts. Why do you think these fruits of the Holy Trinity have been given to us?
GOSPEL: JOHN 16:12-15
Jesus taught his disciples that the Spirit gives to believers everything the Father has given to the Son. When have you been generous to others?

A Word from Fr Danny:
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, which draws our attention to the three Persons of the one divine nature—the central and greatest mystery of our faith. By "mystery," we do not mean something illogical, but something intelligible, yet infinite and unfathomable.
This mystery is not only about how God is three in one, but about who the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are in their eternal relationship. From this, we glimpse the true meaning of being a father, a son (remembering all the baptised are sons in the Son), and of being holy—each perfectly revealed in the Trinity.
If our earthly father was less than ideal, we can still rediscover the meaning of fatherhood through Scripture, prayer, and the liturgy. The same is true for our identity as sons of God, and for our understanding of what it means to be truly holy.
