5th Sunday of Easter
Questions for the Week:
FIRST READING: ACTS 14:21-27
Despite facing many hardships, Paul and Barnabas succeeded in preaching the good news of Jesus crucified and risen from the dead. How do you work through personal setbacks?
SECOND READING: APOCALYPSE 21:1-5
At the start of his final vision, John sees the age to come in which God comes to dwell with his people on earth and all tears, pain and even death itself is gone. Who in your life needs to hear this incredible message of hope?
GOSPEL: JOHN 13:31-33,34-35
Jesus modeled for his disciples how to love one another. Do you have friends or co-workers who show you how to love others?

A Word from Fr Danny:
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (#1822) teaches that charity “is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for His own sake, and our neighbour as ourselves for the love of God.” In today’s Gospel, Jesus commands: “Love one another; just as I have loved you.”
Together, these teachings reveal both why and how we are to love. Christian love is not merely human kindness—it is a divine calling. We love others because we love God, and we love God because we have encountered His personal love for us.
This leads to a deeper question: Have you experienced God’s love for you—personally? Not simply felt, but known through faith and grace. As the Catechism opens (#1): “At every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength”.
